BlueRibbon Coalition Opposes Marine Acquisition of Johnson Valley (the Hammers) Strong letter of opposition reafiirms BRC position on saving this famed OHV recreation area. The BlueRibbon Coalition strongly opposes the proposal by the Marines regarding the withdrawal of public lands (Johnson Valley), to make this unique area a Marine training ground, rather than leave it an OHV area. BRC says No! Let's find some place else for our Marines (and soldiers) to train. They do not need Johnson Valley and BlueRibbon Coalition is telling them that under no uncertain terms.
